Rsvp configuration

Torrie, on January 27, 2017 at 14:11 Posted in Tech support 0 6

I am having a hard time trying to configure the RSVP setting on the Wedding Website.

How do I make it to include a meal choice?

If they have a plus 1 can they indicate that in the RSVP section as well?

Any ideas how to do this?

Thank you for your help!

Hi Cecil! Thanks for your feedback! The Canadian and US websites were made differently with different ideas in mind. We're definitely keeping your feedback to see how we can improve our website. Smiley smile

Why does the weddingwire.com website offer a meal dropdown option in the RSVP serction that can be set up and the weddingwire.ca site has no such option?! (.com has it! )

Seems a little ridiculous to just say "tell your guests to fill in a comment with their meal choice" when the function exists in the .com version as it should be.

Hi Torrie! Smiley heart Thanks for reaching out about this! Smiley smile As Valerie metionned, the best way to do it is for your guests to leave their reply in the comment, which you will receive by e-mail or create a poll.

How To Have Meal Options on Your Website

The good thing about creating a poll is that everyone's answers are all in the same place, while in the comments they will be in seperate e-mails.

As for the +1, you can mark them as companions in your My Guests. They will still have to RSVP under both names, but it will faciliate communication when sending the invitations. Let me know if you need more help with this! How guests are you inviting to your wedding? Smiley smile

No problem! And ya, it would make things easy to have a drop down but I like the comment because then guests can tell me if they have any dietary restrictions as well (especially allergies). But if it was a drop down I won't know

There's no way to have a meal option directly linked to the RSVP, you can either make a poll (Emilie pasted about it recently, I can't link in through the app) but I irrationally worry about people not seeing the poll or to fill it out. So I personally would just list the options and asking people to leave their choice in the comment section of their RSVP
