Rsvp

Who gave out their wedding website URL in their save the dates for guests to RSVP? I didn't do save the dates but I am thinking about giving guests the link to my website so they can RSVP and get hotel info etc. I was thinking, does this defeat the purpose of the invitations ? Also, whose wedding website requires a password for guests to get in to RSVP? I'm debating if I should have one or not because it's another step for guests. Thoughts ?

Hi Christy, you can share the address to your website in your Save the Dates or send them in an e-mail to your guests: How To Send Invitations to My Website

We did our RSVP through our wedding website, so printed the link on our invites. It was also nice to be able to email directly from the wedding website those who hadn't RSVPed by a certain date.

I absolutely included the wedding website info, and our guests have been... I'd guess like 60% responding by mail and 40% on the website. Guests have really liked being able to link directly to the hotel or the venue!

I recommend using a password and just put the password on the RSVP card, or info card (and if guests forget it there's a "request password" button when they try to log in). I didn't have one when I sent out invites and then I had someone enter my site that I did not want (someone who logged in as "Troll Troller") and there was no way to kick them out. It was very unsettling, so I recommend adding the password!
