Round head table?

Autumn, on October 4, 2017 at 22:09 Posted in Wedding reception 0 8
Has anyone had a Round head table before? I don't like the traditional long table because you're stuck talking only to the people beside you. I want to be laughing and talking to all my closest friends as a group. We thought about just making sure we as the newlyweds are visible and are easy access for others to come visit once people are socializing. Any thoughts?

Thanks joey! It's great to hear there was success with both options! We haven't decided 100% yet so this really helps!

We did this for my sister's wedding when I was MOH. It was the couple, me, the other BM, the groomsmen, and everyone's partners. It was very comfortable and casual, as the couple didn't want to be the centers of attention any more than necessary.

I did do one long head table for my wedding and I did enjoy that too, it didn't feel to me like it was impersonal or I couldn't talk to everyone else - just my personal opinion.

I think you can do whatever you like for your head table. I like that you want to interact with everyone in your wedding party and a round table is definitely a good way to do that!

My cousin did this at her 250+ guest wedding and it was very lovely, and they were able to talk and laugh with everyone at their table and the tables around them.

I did this!!! We had a big wedding, but for us we didn't want to do a giant head table and a sweetheart table felt like too many eyes would be on us Smiley shame

We both have small families, so we actually fit both of our immediate families with us at a standard round table and just made that table front and center! It worked perfectly for us Smiley star

Thanks Ashley! We have 60 people so there's only 8 tables including our own. Hopefully that'll work. We're not big attention people so ilike not being front and centre.

For smaller weddings I’ve seen it done. But honestly it’s up to you. And this way u don’t have people staring at you the entire time.
