"Resave the Dates"

Stefanie, on April 21, 2020 at 13:57 Posted in Plan a wedding 1 13
This goes out to all the couples who have decided to postpone their wedding due to the virus.

We havent officially made the call but are certain that we are postponing our wedding celebration. I was wondering if anyone has sent or planning to send save the dates for their new wedding date.
We are planning to send new ones out in June but I'm struggling with the wording and wondering if anyone has some ideas.

Ive seen people just write "change of date" or "save our new date" people understand that these weddings need to be postponed

Oh yea I have no doubt everyone will be understanding. We just have family that lives in Holland who dont use social media and arent tech savvy. Plus it costs more to call them then it does to send something in the post lol

That's works for a majority of our guests but not all. We have family in Holland that dont use social media, so it's just easier to send save the dates.

We are choosing not to send out save the dates again strictly due to financial reasons. I think people would understand if you simply sent them an email or called them, which is what we are doing now. We will definitely be sending out invites again though next year! But people should be understanding of this entire mess of a situation Corona is lol

Resave cards are just added cost to your budget. Social media and emails are the best way to let your guests know your date has changed as the details will follow through with the invite.

If I have to redo my save the dates I'm thinking I'd just draw a line through with sharpie and handwrite new dates haha, unless Vistaprint has a sale price that lowers the cost enough."Resave the Dates" 2

We didn’t send out save the date cards for our initial date, so I am unsure about sending them for the rescheduled date (if we reschedule).
