Rent a dress ?

Renting wasn't really an option for me since I didn't know where to go to find one, plus I'm pear shaped so the top half would be too big but the hips part would fit fine. You wouldn't be able to alter it either so you'd have to make it work.

I'd look into used dresses, there's probably a Facebook group in your area for buying/selling wedding stuff and I found my local one has lots of dresses for less!

Have you looked into renting your wedding dress further? I think it's a great alternative to buying your dress.

The only thing I would mention about renting your dress, as Tori mentioned, is that you won't be able to alter the dress to fit you as you would after buying your dress. This may be something that doesn't bother you if you generally find clothes to fit your body shape easily. What would be my best suggestion is to look into renting your dress in plenty of time before your wedding so that if you decide that it isn't the right decision for you, you still have time to buy your own dress and get it altered for you.

Although I will not be renting my wedding dress it did cross my mind. The only thing that was a big not going to happen moment was the fact that you can't alter the dress as it's a rental. So for somebody like me with a size 16 bust for a dress but a size 12-14 for the rest of my body, the only option of rental dresses for me would be corset so it hugs me in the right way instead of looking like a bag that needs to be brought in

I couldnt tell you where to rent but I know my mum rented hers because she loved it and it was super expensive to buy. She has zero regrets- she got lucky and she was the first bride to actually wear it but I would’ve rented mine if I’d found anywhere to do so!
