Registering

Taylor, on July 31, 2018 at 23:24 Posted in Before the wedding 0 6
My fiancé and I already live together. I mean, we don’t have a house yet, but we have a lot in our apartment. My sister is throwing me a shower, and We just feel like We don’t need anything! And If i were to register, I wouldn’t really want anything from stereotypical stores like The Bay, as it just doesn’t interest me or my fiancé. Any suggestions on different places we could register?

We used our registry to upgrade some older items and to ask for some frivolous items that we just kind of wanted lol. We got some gifts off the registry but mostly cash. I should say that I didn't have a shower though.

Hey Taylor, question, if you don't register, are you guests the type who would just give monetary gifts? I'm big into anti-registry (unless I'm forced to by FH) since I just find an envelope with money to be the easiest gift (what I like to give and receive lol).

I’m doing a honeymoon registry! I’m in the same boat where we live together but we haven’t had most of our stuff long enough for it to warrant it needing replaced. The other option is do no registry, people usually take the hint if you don’t have one and give you cash.

It presents a good opportunity to upgrade some of your older items or to replace them with higher quality ones. Bath towels, dishes, serving platters, decanters... the stuff you might pull out when you host a party or guests for dinner but might not be able to justify buying yourself.

How about asking for gift cards in lieu of registry. This way whatever is needed, you use the card as needed. Plus no storage space is needed.
