First of all congratulations on your big decision. Second, the cost of plates totally depends on the menu (items) and the venue. The rough estimation can be between $100 to $250/pp or may be even more.

Our venue is already booking for 2025! I suggest narrowing down where you want to have the reception and request some of their wedding packages to get an idea of what you are looking for food wise and go from there.

We decided to do a buffet dinner, plates were a little more reasonable, about $80-$100 pp depending on choice.

Plate cost will be different for every venue. If your planning for Feb 2024, I would book ASAP since venues fill up very fast and you might be able to get a better deal now locked in before they raise the prices in 2024.

It depends on where you are located and what the venue offers. When we looked for April 2024 we found everything from $80pp (food only, separate charge for space, cutlery, linens, etc) to $260pp (food and venue with standard rentals).
It also depends on the season, so prices I checked for April may be different than those in February. Contacting caterers/ venues directly would be the best way to go. Good luck!

Hi Nina...congrats and welcome!! Prices vary per venue. But what we found when we started looking last year is the range was from $125 - $200/pp. Again, each venue is different so best to do some research on the venues you are interested in. Good luck!!
