Price of hair and makeup?

Yup, I feel this one - however, was an expense I was willing to pay. Im looking at $240 for hair and makeup and same price for trial. I COULD do my own hair, but didn't want to stress about ANY of that stuff day of. I'll thankfully save on some other expenses when it comes to this, I'll likely do my own nails, I color my own hair but will probably do a trim before the big day. Saving where I can haha

But based on my research, that is the average price point. I saw some lower and some higher.

For my makeup I'm paying $200 and that includes trail and eye lashes.

I'm lucky enough that my aunt is a hair stylist so she will be doing my hair

My hair is $110 and makeup is $65 plus $10 for lashes. Hair for eveyone else is $65 and $65 for makeup for eveyone else as well. My daughter's hair could be $55-75 but my sister may just do her hair since she wants a very simple style. After I hired MUA a friend offered to to my makeup for free 😒 but it's all good my friend is going to do my nails instead so I won't have to worry about that. I'm more sad that I had a MUA already cause I think my friend my do a better job. We decided for our photographer we are just going to do a first look, ceremony and a few pictures after ceremony then she's done. We don't care about cake cutting, random reception or first dance photos. We'll have our hash tag so friends and family can post what they take. I think we cut photography down to under $1000 with taxes.

And yes just my personal opinion but I think if your to choose between photography or videographer.. definitely photographer!

My makeup is $85+ 15-18 for lashes and the same for the trial. I imagine I'll be able to use the lashes for both. So makeup will be $188 for the trial and day of. Thankfully my MOH is a hair stylist and she's doing my hair as a gift but she usually charges $75 for hair

I think it depends on who you go with.... it definitely all adds up!!!
My hair dresser is doing my hair and a friend charging 100 each for 4 people or under or 75 for 4 or more for makeup. Which also includes lashes and a get ready kit.

My hair won't cost too much as my hair stylist is about 40 bucks for highlights/cut and probably 50 or less for her to style it on my wedding day. Im meeting with her Tuesday to dicuss it. now I have to decide if I want extensions that will add the price (I don't know if I'll do it to save the money for something else like food)
I also need my nails done which would be around $50/$60My biggest expense has been photography which is 9 hours of video/photo for $1400, chairs $204 and then the food as were doing all the food ourselves.

Absolutely - Andrew thinks the price is a little crazy but I keep telling him it's the only thing we'll have to look back on so it's worth it. I could live without video, so we'll see where we net out.

Going back now I probably would’ve gone with someone more experienced with weddings and no videographer! But I can’t back out now his grandma and my grandma are best friends lol it would be awkward

View quoted message When I researched back last February, either MUA I liked weren’t taking on anymore brides or the hair was a ridiculous price and I wasn’t able to afford a makeup artist after that lol it was a constant 3-4 months of trying to find someone. Then I found a lady who does hair and makeup with her assistant and she does a lot of styled shoots for brides magazine. So I went with her! I’m happy with my choice but I just wanted to see what everyone else paid !

I'm in the process of researching options now, but it's looking like $150 hair + $150 makeup, and the same cost for a trial. So far photographers has been the biggest shock for me expense wise

It depends on the company. Some companies charge less then others you just need to compare and contrast. I paid $800 for mine cause they are higher end and have more things in the package.
