Postponing your wedding date

Hi all

I hope you’re all doing well and managing the best you can during these strange times we’re living in.
I’m wondering other couples have been told by their venues in terms of postponing their wedding date? My venue apparently is only allowing postponement to dates WITHIN this year (I.e until Dec 2020) but my fiancé and a lot of family (with kids) will be flying in from abroad for the wedding. So we really want to postpone it to next summer so that hopefully family is able to fly in.
Any advice?

It’s tricky - we can’t even postpone for a year because our venue has NO dates next summer - they’re fully booked.

I’d call your venue, give them your situation and see what they’re willing to do for you.
