Postponed

We pulled the trigger and postponed our Oct 3rd, 2020 wedding to September 25th, 2021.

I know we made the decision early and there may have been a chance we could have gotten married this year but honestly I'm happy we made the decision we did. This year just didn't feel right anymore and we didn't want our wedding to feel rushed or not have the full experience because of the pandemic.

Let me tell you, once we actually made the decision it felt like a huge weight was lifted! No more stressing about planning and if we would be able to save enough (I'm in sales and my earnings have taken a huge hit because of this), and if there would be enough time to have pre-wedding parties.

Now we can enjoy our pandemic summer without the added stress!

ALSO, all of our vendors and our venue have been so accommodating. Not one even mentioned having to pay extra or 2021 pricing. All we had to do was sign updated contract with a new date, everything else stayed the same!

We had the same date as you just decided officially yesterday to postpone to Oct 2, 2021! I feel a bit blue but also relieved. Hoping the extra year flies by and we can have everything the way we wanted it to be

We postponed our Oct 10, 2020 wedding this past week. It feels right even tho it was really hard. My family doesn’t live in the same province or even country. We also ended up getting the photographer we wanted for next year because he wasn’t available this year.

So sad! We’re still holding on to hope for our September 26 wedding and don’t plan on making a decision to postpone until mid July! We do have a back up date already secured with all our veg done for next May though just in case. I don’t wanna give up on my wedding yet 🤣

I was so worried about vendor saying they had to charge 2021 pricing or a fee for postponing ect. super grateful that wasn't the case!

Okay, the only thing i'm upset about is that i'm not getting married on mean girls day anymore! I thought it was super funny that we chose Oct 3rd and didn't realize. It was actually my older brother who pointed it out!

We are also postponing our October 24, 2020 wedding. We're still waiting to hear from our venue and vendors for our new date, but the process has begun.

I am relieved, like you, to have this weight lifted, but my one regret now was ordering items that had our date on them. I don't know what to do with them.

I'm so sorry that you have had to postpone. Glad you were able to find a new date with all of your vendors! My fiance and I have had to postpone our August 8 wedding to August 7 2021 and we had the same experience with all of them not having to pay extra or anything. I also totally understand what you mean by when you say a weight is lifted!

Original date twins!! We postponed until Oct 2/21. I also felt sooo relieved when we finally did it. It’s sad to think I can’t wear my dress until next October, but it is definitely a huge relief. Now to enjoy the next 490 days!

I'm sorry about the postponement but I'm glad you will be able to breath a bit and get the wedding you want and deserve Smiley heart Super amazing of your vendors to not be like some of the others we have been hearing about by adding extra charges!!
