Post Elopement Party “wedding Website.”

Vanessa, on April 28, 2019 at 16:25 Posted in Just married 0 3
Hi all,

My now wife & I were intimately married in the Nevada desert, and are now planning a casual post elopement reception to celebrate with our family and friends.

We had initially wanted to send out paper invites in the mail, with a link to a website such as The Knot, where a guest can RSVP electronically, rather than returning it via snail mail. I’m also using the Knot address collection feature since WW doesn’t have a feature quite the same (sending out a link to collect addresses). The only issue is The Knot refers to the event using words like “The Wedding” on the page, and it does not allow me to edit it. I do not want it to say “The Wedding” when a guest goes to the site to RSVP. It’s not a wedding, and we are not trying to re-create a wedding at all. Any other suggestions as to how a guest can electronically RSVP to a paper invite?

We attended a wedding reception after they eloped in Nova Scotia and it was sent out through facebook with the reply on their page. Send a copy of the paper invite through facebook, WhatsApp or any social media that others may use with the RSVP date and keep track by checking the sites.

An alternative is email provided to the guests to RSVP to you directly if a website can't be found to create the Reception details.

We used paperlesspost.com for our invitations. You can have people rsvp through that site. I’m not sure how it would work with paper invites though. I know you can design and print from that site.
My friend had paper invitations and online RSVP-I’ll check the website they used when I get home.

I would just try exploring different sites. We are using a destination wedding site for a beach ceremony but we will already be married so we are calling it a vow renewal. Initially I was having the same problem as everything said "the wedding" and really it wasn't. We had it change to say vow renewal as you could have it changed to reception, or celebration or whatever you'd like. I would just start looking at some other site options unless you can contact someone in customer service or something for the knot and see if they can help you.

Or worse comes to worse - have them rsvp to you directly via email? you can even make a new email address only for the rsvps.
