Pop up wedding dress clearance sale

Desiree, on January 23, 2020 at 09:11 Posted in Wedding fashion 0 5
Just curious if anyone has been to any of those one day pop up clearance sales, are they worth going to and what can I expect going into one? Is it complete chaos 🤔

I went to a warehouse sale where they were getting rid of their inventory. I bought my dress for $750, and it retailed for $3000 (pic below). It wasn't crowded at all, but I went on the first day of the sale (Friday) around 2 pm. I was envisioning that scene from Friends with all the women tearing at the dresses, but it was nothing like that.
The place I went to had all the dresses in sections by size, which was really nice because you could stick to your area. I would also suggest bringing others with you to bring in and take out dresses while you are changing. No one was there to help dress you, so you'd need help with that too.
I really recommend these types of sales because you can save money and leave with your actual dress (no ordering mixups)!Pop up wedding dress clearance sale 1

The one we went to said only 4 dresses in the room at a time (we totally broke that rule as the day went on) so I needed someone to hold the other dresses, especially as I found a few "maybes" that I didn't want to lose to another bride! Definitely bring an entourage.

Thank you so much for the feedback 🥰☺️ I was thinking of going alone but now I think I’m going rally up a couple family members to tag along so they could hold on to stuff lol

I went to one in New Brunswick in September.
There was no entrance fee, and it wasn't super crowded (we went around 10-12). I tried on lots of dresses and while I didn't find anything I learnt a lot about what I like and don't like. They advertise $199-999 and I didn't see anything less than $899 in my size that I pulled to try on. I did research the dresses bi tried and they retail for $2500+, so you can definitely snag a deal.
Some of them sell tickets for an early admission which guarantees you a changing room and let's you bring a few guests. That might be worth it if you want fewer people around and the first pick of dresses. I'm going to another in March to look for accessories now that I've found my dress! Some tips: wear nude underwear, bring a hair tie, don't wear makeup (they often make people wipe it off) and bring a few friends who can hold things you want to try on (mom and I were drowning in dresses by ourselves).
