    Mainly buffet, but the venue is going to plate a few things for those with allergies to remove the worry of cross-contamination!

    Played! I’m a nurse and think about the germs! Buffets, donut walls you name it! Gross! You don’t know where people’s hands have been or what bugs they are carrying

    Buffet! We're not very fancy people and a plated dinner just wouldn't suit us. Plus we have tons of friends with dietary concerns and FHs family has a bunch of picky eaters. This way everyone can eat as much as they want of whatever they want.

    Buffet, working with a small budget it worked better for us. plus I feel there's more options as you can have a little of everything.

    We're doing buffet! Our families are big eaters, and so are we, so buffet was the only option to have a nice variety of foods!

    We have decided to go with a buffet. I would have loved to do a sit down plated meal but our venue did not offer that for us

    Plated: for me it feels fancier having someone bring the food to you and I'm cursed with buffets - I'm usually at the last table by chance, and one time they forgot our table and started calling seconds. The all-inclusive package of our venue includes plated meals so it was also less thinking for me, and there is options available for guests with dietary requirements.

    We are doing a buffet for our rehearsal dinner, since it is a smaller group.

    I’m having plated - it’s at a restaurant. Buffet options are nice too. If I was having a bigger wedding I would’ve done that.

    I guess ours is kind of like a buffet. It'll be a BBQ, so everyone can decide if they want a hot dog or burger and then there will be a couple salad options.

    We're able to provide so many more options to our vegetarian, pescatarian, celiac friends that way! Plus, it'll be cheaper!

    Buffet. I do not like plated dinners for weddings. Doesn't give guests as much options to eat what they actually like and prefer.

    100% buffet! Plated dinners for me are just so... boring? IDK I have never been to a wedding where the plated dinners are really that spectacular... usually the same options (and I hate how you have to pick before hand) and usually cold... Our buffet was SPECTACULAR! There were so many food options and everyone loved it! If you went up and only wanted pasta, you could only take pasta! Wanted seconds or thirds? Go for it! Great time to try something new! Oh buffets are the best!

    Plated all the way. I find food quality is better with plated then buffet, despite lack of options. We choose our venue specifically because of the food in mind.

    I like a plated service, but I also like the buffets for the selection for your guests and making sure that they get enough to eat.

    Buffet - it's the cheaper option for what we were looking for. I wouldn't even mind getting up and grabbing my own plate tbh. I would get to show off my dress by walking around more Smiley tongue
