Planning timeline- whats your biggest struggle?

Becky, on July 29, 2019 at 09:40 Posted in Plan a wedding 0 12

When I first got engaged the planning timeline was my biggest struggle.. Everywhere location is different and I learned fast that at a year and half our I needed to get booking or wouldn't get what wanted.

What has been your struggle with the timeline? What do you need advice on when comes to the timeline ? This could be the timeline of when you start planning start to finish or the timeline of your big day!

I agree! It's always better to be early to gain more research and therefore reduce anxiety and stress! Knowledge is power Smiley laugh We did find vendors that are accommodating and met us and so we are leaning more into hiring them Smiley smile

I had a couple tell me that as well, but they were smaller vendors like our cake lady. Some people don't have it in their schedules to book so far ahead, but all you can do is ask. I found the bigger vendors (photography, and venue) were more than ok to be booking that far in advance! We wanted to plan everything super early as well just to be organized!

The ones that told you to wait, put a notification in your phone calendar, and email or call them right away!

Really? Thats insane! they should be willing to meet and book you as its not too early for you! I would talk to other vendors and see who is willing to meet with you. We are in the same boat with no wedding planner and paying it ourselfs

Timeline is just letting you get the things on months planning stages. This format can be printed from online wedding planning guides with lists of vendors to look into and book.

A folder/binder is a safe way to keep all your information together as you organize by tabs to ensure all emails and contracts are safe in one place. Purchases/deposits recorded to know what you have done and need to get done help.

Its never early to start booking with vendors you know you want to service your day of event. Don't lose out on the deal before they get booked by someone else.

Lol same!! I'm hoping to finish up my WIPs (works in progress) this long weekend since I have nothing else planned. Other than that, I can't do anymore DIYs until I'm in London later in August (my centerpieces)

I booked all my vendors pretty early on and then... did nothing for a few months when I could've worked on DIY lol. Now I'm not rushing, but I feel pressed to finish DIYs before having to pay attention to the final details of the wedding.

Booking vendors was a big one for me. Was I booking them too soon? Did I wait too long for some of them?

It is so true that the good ones book up fast, and if you don't act fast you don't get what you want.
