Planning out of Province

Geneviève, on November 3, 2019 at 08:43 Posted in Plan a wedding 0 6
Does anyone have any pointers for booking vendors out of province? We just moved and we had all of our vendors booked, but now we have to rebook our florals from three provinces over! Were there tips you used or ways you managed to pick the right vendor and make sure your vision was seen?

Email and skype have definitely been helpful for us to communicate with vendors 18 hours away (opposite ends of Ontario).

Also if you have family/friends/wedding party in your original province, don't be afraid to ask them for help!

Vendors in other provinces can be looked into and booked if you wish to do so. One tip I would give is having a family member to go and see what may be good options on your behalf and take pictures to show you and get your vision choice. Rental may be an option if you wish to don't plan on keeping the bouquets or centerpieces after the event. Inquire within the amount that may be able to save you more and then returned back after.

Family or friends are always there to help when needed and ensure they can recommend someone they know well or by researching them in the province.

Do you still have family or friends where the vendors are? If you do I would see if someone, or a small group, is willing to act for you with the vendors.

Those people could potentially Skype or FaceTime you in for meetings with vendors if you still wanted to be kept in the loop.
