Planning on hold?

Christina, on April 1, 2020 at 19:17 Posted in Plan a wedding 0 5
Hi everyone! I am getting married next May and I am just wondering how everyone who is also getting married in about a year is planning and meeting vendors? In light of the current situation with COVID I just want tips on how to adapt my planning. Thank you!

Also..I feel for those brides who are getting married this year. I can’t even imagine how tough it has been for them.

Wedding plans on hold for most couples due to the circumstances are being postponed or cancelled based on the venue decision. Making calls to the business vendors may help to get their time and information knowing they have the date open for your event. Social media is a great way to contact them through FB, WhatsApp, Facetime or messenger to ask any questions you have and price package inquiry.

Honestly some of my vendors have been contacting me and going a head still. i would still reach out and contact vendors an do zoom chats or whatsapp video to "meet" them and ask questions. also now would be a good time to ask for discounts since im sure businesses are suffering. i would just give extra timing on their responses. like if i email them i would give them a week or two then follow up given they may be sick or have ill family members or something

We were planning to get married June 2021. We completed all our venue tours just before closures starred happening. I have not booked a venue as yet. As of yesterday there is a potential I may get laid off, As well it's a week by week situation with my partner. Any vendors I was considering I have been communicating with via email. Some are also still available by phone. I haven't done this but some may be willing to have virtual meetings as well.

Right now planning is kinda on hold. We are doing a virtual meeting by facetime for the venue I've been interested it. Right now my fiance is laid off until they lift the state of Emergency, so we wont be booking anything unless they have a reasonable cancellation policy.
