Planning Help - Transportation

Hi all!

Does anyone have any advise on how I should go about planning for my guests who do stay at the hotel about 15 mins away from my venue?

We plan to have an an open bar and I know at least a few people are planning to drink and not want to drive. Should I get a shuttle service from the hotel to the venue in the afternoon and then another one when the night ends? Has anyone used Lyft or Uber codes for the Kleinburg/Vaughan area for this purpose?

    Yeah i would use uber for sure. but you could also get a bus service that does two pick ups for the night like one around 10 pm back to the hotel and one for the late night people like around 2 am and then people who want to leave before can use uber

    Lyft and Uber services can bd utilized by providing the location if the guests di require them if drinking. Those that will be DD for the night and enjoy themselves as non drinkers can drive them back as offering them a ride. Rates and contact can bw included on the information package.

    Lovely! We looked there for our wedding as well! Our wedding is at Copper Creek Golf Club, just up the road from the Doctor's House.

    You all make a lot of logical points that ya, most people plan accordingly! I feel a little more assured and it would probably be a smart idea to get an idea how many people would want rides in the first place! Lol silly me... hahaha

    It would really depend on how many guests you have that would need rides. Most people who attend weddings and want to drink will plan accordingly, so you may not have to worry about transportation.
    But if there are enough guests and you get a wicked deal I would do the shuttle to the hotel!

    I would say that if it's only a few people that you go with the Uber or list of taxi route - but if there are at least 20 people then I would say a shuttle would be MUCH appreciated. For my FH's cousin's wedding this past July she got a shuttle to do this and it worked really well. (Shuttle picked all guests up and brought them back, then came back for the wedding party after they cleaned up and any stragglers that were too drunk the first time around to realize they needed to get on the bus Smiley tongue

    For our wedding we have a shuttle set up as well but our venue is 45 min. outside the city so it is WAY MORE appreciated and wanted. So far we have over 40 people signed up.

    I had attended a wedding before and there was actually more of us then that - the place just had a list of local taxi's and thats all we did to get back. It would be nice if atleast one shuttle is provided for guests. I would try what Kelsie mentioned
