Planning after the budget

Kala, on June 30, 2017 at 20:57 Posted in Plan a wedding 0 7
Hey Ladies!
I'm new to this whole thing so pardon the question if its been asked. My Fiancé and I are meeting with his family at the beginning of next week to discuss potential interest in helping with our budget. In the mean time I'm trying to get a timeline set up for planning after that. Our wedding date isn't decided yet and depending on our budget it will either be fall of 2018 or 2019. Can any of you lovely ladies help with suggestions on how to organize a timeline?
Thanks in advance!

That was good advice from the event manager. I planned my wedding in 6 months by keeping in simple. It will still be beautiful but without a lot of stress.

Hey! I've google "wedding planning timelines" and you can draw some great ideas from any of them. In the end it's totally up to you.
We started with the big stuff.
    1. Agree on a budget 2. How many people? And did up a rough guest list right away. 3. What style of wedding are we going for? This helped narrow down our venue selection a lot! 4. Select venue/ date (we weren't picky about the date which made it more flexible and easier to pick the venue we wanted) 5. Now we're selecting a photographer6. Next items on the list are officiant and dress.
We are getting married in August 2018, which means we still have plenty of time too!
Slow and steady wins the race for us!
    Happy planning!

A wedding event manager told me get these three things, and the rest is minor detail compared: the venue, the dress, the officiant.
I planned my wedding in 8 months. If want to discuss anything or have questions about how I did or found things, feel free to msg

Number one is your budget. Find that and stick to it. Next thing that I would look into is a venue as I hear they book up fast. Getting your dress should also be high up on the priority list as you may have to travel to find the one or it may take a while for it to get ordered.

Welcome and congratulations! The to-do list here and on The Knot are actually quite helpful, as it breaks out the things you need to plan by how months until the wedding. There are also a few timelines floating around the Internet, or Pinterest that can be of help Smiley smile
