Planning a destination wedding - how long does it usually take to hear back from resorts?

Tar, on February 1, 2023 at 13:33 Posted in Plan a wedding 0 5

My friend/travel agent reached out to a resort we are interested in having our wedding. They got back quickly with a questionnaire. I completed and sent the questionnaire back but haven't gotten a response. It's been 2.5 days. Anyone, who planned a destination wedding in Mexico, is this normal?

I’d say about a week, then follow up. Sometimes there is a dedicated wedding planner at the resort and he/she may work part time hours or only be on shift a few times per week. Unless your timeline is really short, I’d give it a week or so before following up.

We are doing a destination wedding and responses from resorts ranged from 2 - 7ish days.

With everything that's happened in parts of Mexico I would give it 5-7 business days, then reach out again.

Hey! Welcome to wedding wire. I think when filling out a questionnaire, it is best to wait about a week.

When I inquired in 2021, after I sent the questionnaire in it took about a week until I heard a response.
