Photography Costs in Alberta?

Hi Everyone!

I have researched a handful of photographers in the Edmonton and Jasper area. Their pricing ranges from $2200 for 4 hours (half day) to $3500 for 8 hours (full day). Is this the going rate for photography in the area?

We are paying $3000 for 10 hours, 2 photographers, engagement session and a photo album. I did find cheaper but I didn't like the quality of their photos as much.

Hey Bridget,
That is definitely the going rate for photography in Alberta - we were super picky, and contacted a lot of photographers in the area and settled on a package for $3600 for 2 photographers for 12 hours of coverage, an engagement session, and a few albums and prints. Photography is definitely where we wanted to splurge, as I have seen some of my friends unhappy with their wedding photography!

I’m paying around 2268 for 12 hours for 2 photographers. I am getting married in Edmonton and we will be using Brillion photography.

Check out breeze photograpy ... she is based out of Calgary and is super reasonable.
