Ours is just over $5000...He is pricy but SO worth it...I absolutely love his photography style and haven't found anyone that I liked even half as much- he did my friends wedding a few years ago and I knew I wanted to go with him before I even met my FH haha.

We get full day coverage (starting as early as we want) with him and his assistant, as well as the engagement shoot, wedding photo album as well as 2 smaller versions of the wedding photo album for the parents, and all of the digital files from both shoots

Congrats! I hear you, I’m so excited myself. Getting married March 2020!

I literally just booked my photographer, we talked about 8 hours, I want her there for prep until the party starts to get too crazy. I was quoted at 1800 taxes included, and she is giving me my engagement shots with that. I’ve seen lots of her weddings she photographed and been to some personally. She’s amazing, I’m so excited about working with her.

I recommend talking to previous clients if you can. The photos might be great but the experience is important to me as well. You wanna meet with them first to see if your personalities jive too. But if you can also talk to a couple of their clients that would be ideal!

Photographers are getting rather expensive these days for average 8 hours now adays.

We had the package for $1300 including engagement pictures, 12 hours and 2 photographers for the wedding day and edited pictures on a USB stick, which we skipped the hard book album for $200.

We are getting married in March 2019. Our 1st photographer flaked so we were panicked for sure. Almost 2 weeks ago we booked our Photographer who was referred to us by Family. We have a 10 hour package for $1500.00. She edits all photos as well as having each photo in color and black and white. She says that we will have close to 600 pictures. Our Photographer includes an engagement shoot in this package which I never thought we would be able to have. I just bought my engagement shoot outfit yesterday. Exciting!

Remember - it doesn't hurt to ask if they are willing to lower the price if you don't include certain things they offer! If they include engagement photo's perhaps you can come to an arrangement where you skip out on that in exchange for an extra hour or two? You also have lots of time before your wedding so make sure you look for better pricing elsewhere before locking in!

    P.S Congrats on the engagement!!

We paid $1500 and got 5 hours of photos on our wedding day and an engagement session.
For us 5 hours was plenty of time with how we lined our day up but I can totally see how a lot of people want more time than that.

We have 8 hours for $2500. I would go for at least 8 hours but if the 6 hour one is within budget I would go for that one.

We are paying about just under $2700 this price includes all day coverage, engagement session, personalized thank you magnets, a custom canvas and a few other things. I definitely feel we got an incredible deal. I was picky about the photographer and we ended up going over budget but he is amazing and someone I could deal with on my wedding day.

It really varies and depends on the style you want! We were going to go with a wonderful woman who charged $2800 for 8+ hours but she ended up being busy that weekend and recommended a guy who she has worked with many times. He ended up being $2100 INCLUDING (!) engagement photos. We are meeting him this weekend. You just want to feel good and get a good vibe when you meet them. Don't cheap out if you can, these photos will last forever and you will always regret paying a few hundred less and getting bad photos rather than choosing someone truly amazing.

Hi Alicia welcome to the WW Community!

Photographers have varied like crazy around here with a lot of them sitting just above $2000 for like 6 hours. We actually managed to get lucky and found someone who was $1800 for 8 hours which was exactly what we were looking for and it came with an engagement shoot which was awesome. We are very happy with his work on the engagement shoot and It’ll be great to see the wedding photos.

I know its early but definitely book the photographer asap. Often they raise their prices for the next year so if you book this year you can often lock in their current pricing which will save you!

    Best of luck to you!
