We were quoted $2999 for 12 hour coverage and 1 photographer before travel fees, they also had 8 and 10 hours rates. We found it to be reasonably priced for Toronto. I received their quote in Jan 2023.

We didn't end up going with them as we wanted photo-video packages and additional photographers.

Congrats! We just got married in Burlington too! we had one photographer (from Scarborough) for 8 hours, includes all digitals, 2 large prints (for the fam) and USB for $1600

2 shooters - she's there for 10 hours and the 2nd is there for 6 hours. Total around $2300. and a total of 300 digital photos (edits included).

We paid ~$2,300 for 6 hours and that's on the low end for our city. Sounds like it'll be great!

It depends what your looking for I paid 1600 for 6 hours but my photographer was located in Cambridge. Most photographers will travel you just have to pay a small fee

I'm paying $2300 for 8 hours, 2 photographers, 500-600 photos, including my engagement session. When I was researching, the ranges I got was $1,500 to $8,000.

3500 here for the wedding and engagement shoots!

It really depends on the photographer, but I'm paying a little under $2500 for an engagement shoot, six hours the day of, unlimited pictures, editing, and connect calls.

We have a great photographer! He was highly recommended by 10 people in our circle of friends. We have 2 shooters 8 hours and are paying less than the price you mentioned.

NOTE** this is not in response to the op but i think based of what i was reading about how some people think its disgusting what photographers charge i just wanted to note something.

cameras cost money, editing softwares cost money, if this is the full time job they probably went to school for it which costs money if its not ft job then they take time of work to come do it which costs money, all equipment needed for photography costs money, their skills are worth money, their time is worth money.

Trust me I get it sometimes it sucks that things cost alot of money but think about the time and effort and MONEY that was put into the service as well. If you do not want to pay professional prices then you shouldn't be looking for professional services

Yes that does seem about right but at the same time i think if you are willing to do some research (unless you already have then my bad) you may be able to find something more reasonable. my photographer is booked for 12 hours 2 photographers and cameras, 100 vintage film photos and a minimum of 500 edited photos for 3600

We are paying $3500 for 7 hours and we get an engagement shoot and a second photographer the day of the wedding included for 3 hours in that price. I personally think it’s worth spending more and getting some good quality photos. You’re going to be cherishing them for the rest of your life!

I have someone I know. So we saved a bundle. We're paying $1500 for full day coverage but when we did look it was anywhere from 2,800 to 4,000. It is a bit gross what people are asking. If you have anyone you can ask. I highly encourage it!!

To be honest, that price may not be the best out there but not unreasonable either if they're good. A lot of good photographers will be around that range, especially if they're in the GTHA.

Thanks everyone. It puts into perspective what to expect I suppose. I had my wedding booked 3 years ago- the photographer also. We postponed of course each year but the prices have changed so much. I know I can’t get my deposit back so I just wanted to see if what I’m paying was reasonable. They also took out the video part - which should have been a decrease. We got lucky and used a photographer who was starting out. So we paid $1350 for 9 hours. She now charges $2700 for the same package. Based on my research when I was looking, your price is within the realm of normal for wedding photography

So I just popped onto the website of the company we used and for their wedding photography they offer 4 packages, ranging from $1900-$3200, but they all include 2 photographers and anywhere from 7-12 hours of coverage... so pretty good. But it's a big company so there are different photographers working there, not like one owner and they shoot your wedding type of deal but nonetheless, we were so happy with the services and the photos! They also, only "creatively edit" a certain number of photos per package whereas the other photos I think are edited but just more in a standard way, whereas a lot of the pricey photographers I found really edited every image super well so something to consider there if that matters to you ( I personally did not notice much of a difference, all the photos looked very good).

Every photographer is different on their prices in every province. It was also depend on what services they provide as well

This was a tough area for me because I knew I wanted to capture the day with photos but honestly, could not justify some of the prices I was getting.

We paid $1100 for 4 hours, unlimited photos, one photographer, and up to 30 photos "creatively edited", plus online gallery and USB. This ended up being an 'event photography' package that we were able to go with, which worked for us because any of the wedding packages included so much more time and photos that I was not interested in (our wedding was from 5pm-11pm, only had photographer 5pm-9pm, no bridal party, no getting ready photos, basically just wanted photos of the evening itself). I was very happy with how they turned out and the owner was fabulous with communication and very transparent with pricing.

I did receive other wedding photography quotes though anywhere from $2500-$3500 but I think that was for a full day, longer than 6 hrs.
