Photographer?

Hi Erin! Welcome to the community! I'm so glad you got so many answers for your photography! Is it in the city or countryside?

I'm not sure where you're at but oddly enough when I started looking for photographers, my Facebook feed sponsored ads creepily started showing me photographers and this one in my region popped up with a promotion she was offering that was great and we LOVE her (plus I couldn't beat the deal!)!

Going to colleges in your area and post on community boards. Students are a fraction of the cost and have fresh ideas ! You can do the same with a videographer too! Good luck!

I checked out this girl as she did my friends wedding! She is in the Niagara region and is willing to travel to meet for a meeting! We were going to choose her to do our wedding but we wanted someone local as we are out in Peterborough! Anyways her prices were the best we had found anyhere and her work is really good to! I think it would be worth contacting her!

I agree with Melissa! Don't be afraid to talk to the vendors to see if they'd be willing to work with you! We found a photographer through a recommendation from a family friend. She had used our photographer for her wedding and since her wedding, the prices had increased but when we met with the photographer, we mentioned it was out of our price range and asked if she'd be willing to honor the price she gave our friend and she said yes! It never hurts to ask!

Those prices are why we decided to hire a friend! I have two great friends who can take amazing photos and have their own really good cameras, if you have someone like that it can really narrow down the cost!

Photgraphers can be expensive, but a lot will work with you to create a package that will fit your budget. Have to tired talking to a few vendors?

I found myself discouraged seeing the price lists, but did find once a conversation started it seemed much easier to narrow down things we needed and didn't to make a package that works!
