People You Don't Want to Invite to the Wedding (but Have To!)

My MIL wanted a few of her friends there, but they’re nice and came to our engagement party when she invited them. She’s also helping pay for the wedding so in my eyes it’s okay, since it’s like 6 people. My parents haven’t mentioned anyone they want to invite, in fact they’ve told me not to invite my shitty uncle and his family lol

Didn't invite anyone and before sending invites, we trimmes it.

One guest towards the end against my will was invited who never got my attention.

Certain overseas relatives that we aren't really close to but have to invite because the rest of his overseas relatives are!

I don't really want to say who I HAVE to invite even if I don't want them there. What we write on the internet stays on the internet. We've kept it small and finances dictate.

We're keeping our wedding small, and i don't feel bad at all for not inviting certain family members.

My fiancé's family, we have to invite. We can't say your not welcome to come but we don't always get along with them and we have very different views from them and it causes tension often.

I personally don't understand why people feel the need to invite everyone they know to their wedding. We limited to close friends and family and are almost at 85 guests. I could not imagine if we felt the need to invite everyone!

There's no one that I have to invite. That's why we kept it to 40 people to ensure it's only close family and friends!

It's not so much that I don't want the people on our guest list to come, it's more that my finances are too stretched for it
