Outdoor weddings - planning for the elements

For the brides getting married in the great outdoors, I'd love some tips on managing the elements. Sun and rain I have wrapped my head around (tents and fans), even cold weather (blankets and wraps). But wind feels like the worst case scenario and this year my area has been exceptionally windy this time of year, which it usually never is. My wedding is this time next year so I'm freaking out if I need to find an indoor venue!
How can we manage strong winds for a full outdoor day?

    Most venues that offer outdoor ceremonies usually have some sort of weather contingency plan ready to go. With ours, we could move into our reception area if we needed to since it's indoors. I would ask the venue coordinator what their plan is for inclement weather. If they don't have one readily available, work with them to come up for one for your wedding day.

    The only way to beat the elements is to have an indoor wedding. Strong winds could really put a damper on it. I think sides on the tent would be the equivalent of an indoor venue so you might as well have it indoors. It 's always risky to do outdoors but if you're willing to take the chance, go for it.

    I don't think you can worry about it this early on but I agree that renting a tent with removable sides is a good idea.
