Outdoor wedding tent backup... buying your own?

Jade, on October 16, 2018 at 11:58 Posted in Plan a wedding 0 1

Hey everyone. I live in an extremely small town. There are no outdoor venues for weddings so I'm thinking of taking a public green space by a walking trail to use as the location for my ceremony. As I live in a small town, there are also no wedding planners. There are no tents to rent here either. I'm thinking of ordering my own from eBay and selling them later in case of bad weather. However, I have a large wedding (150-175 people) and I would need to purchase 4-5 of these tents, take the walls up and put them next to each other to make one big tent. Here's the one I'm looking at purchasing.

I wanted to check and see if anyone has purchased their own tents for a large wedding before. Have you done this and used them for both the ceremony and the reception at the same location? I would love to hear your experiences.

Hey Jade, did you figure out your tent situation? Alternatively you could have fancy umbrellas ready for your guests in case of rain (hoping that it's not raining too much and the ceremony isn't too long!).
