Outdoor ceremony sound equipment

Lucy, on March 27, 2018 at 12:54 Posted in Wedding ceremony 0 5
We are having our ceremony outside. The venue has electrical outlets we can use but no sound equipment. Apart from speakers and something to play the music, what other sound equipment would I need? It's only 50 guests so I don't think we'll need mics since people will be seated close.

You should be fine with speakers and maybe a sub-woofer and maybe a microphone.

Will you be having a DJ? We’re having an outdoor ceremony as well and our DJ is taking care of all that for us.

We are also having an outdoor ceremony, although our ceremony is double the amount of people. We are renting two speakers, a mic, and a sound board (a lot better to play music using the sound board).

Even though you only have 50 guests, I would still recommend a mic. You never know which way the wind will blow or one of you might get choked up and then you won't talk as loud.

You could always buy a sound bar that way you can keep it, this is what my friends are doing for their music. You will need extension cords possibly but I cant think of anything else!

50 people is still a decent amount and it depends how loud you and the officiant are. I would strongly recommend you consider having a mic/speaker for it as nothing is more frustrating for a guest when they can't hear you.
