Ordering wedding items online to Canada

Hi all,
As someone who's been slapped in the face with duties online shopping before, I'm a little weary of ordering wedding-related items from online retailers. Specifically, I love the all in one invitations on minted, but they ship from the US. I also like a lot of the online bridesmaids dress options but I know clothing gets slapped with massive fees. Did any of you order online and regret it? Or was it still worth it all things considered? Thanks!

    Wedding party dresses or clothing would not be an option to order online due to sizing and where its coming from. It's a bit scary to know it can be lost as some has experienced and have to go for another company to get it for ordering. Half the items were refunded though it was to keep too since the companies didn't want to take it back.

    The only things on amazon and ebay sites I ordered were small items for the wedding and most never got on time for delivery. Vistaprint was amazing for delivery and in Canada to know they do deliver on time and still get customized from that site.

    Funny story I ordered shawls for my girls that way they didn’t have to worry about jackets later in the evening. Ordered them back in March have get to see them. Between Canada post and usps saying one thing over another. I don’t think I will ever order from the states again.

    It depends on what you’re ordering.

    ive only ordered small items I.e., robes for me and my party, cigar box for best man, cupcake wrappers.

    I’ve only ordered online from Etsy and never had an issue with any of my items.
