Kayla, on March 14, 2019 at 14:11 Posted in Wedding fashion 0 12
Hello!

Would you lovelies be able to tell me whether you think I should wear a veil or no veil? If a veil, what kind? I will be wearing my hair down!

Thanks! Yeah I am leaning towards no veil right now. I feel like the dress is too much lol

I really like veils, but I would vote no veil in this case. That dress is absolutely gorgeous, and I don't doubt that the back is equally as beautiful. I ersonally wouldn't want to cover it up. Either way, it's your vision, pick whatever you like best! You'll look amazing either way! Smiley smile

I think cathedral veil with scallop lace edge would look good as it will complement your dress' lace top.

A birdcage veil would also look really nice with your dress!

I love lace edging personally, and with your dress's amazing lacework I think that might be a safe bet.

Thank you! If I were to go long would you suggest super simple, no beadwork or lace etc.?

This is true! I’d kind of like to wear one for the “once in a lifetime” factor but I am also concerned becausee there is so much going on with the dress

I do love veils, but with this one I would go long, so it's not overpowered by the dress (which is beautiful, by the way!)

The back is closed! I just worry that a veil may be too much with this dress 🙈

I always love veils. When else in your life can you wear one?

Is the back of this dress open or closed?

I think if it was open and your back was bare, you could do the veil to shoulder length or just long enough to hit the top of your skirt. If it is closed and detailed, I would say to skip the veil to show off the back.

At the end of the day wearing one is up to you - but I am pro-veil!

I would think that it would have to be simple as the top of your dress is so intricate - and the best length IMO would be elbow length or shorter as to not reach the skirt portion of your dress.
