What type of venue are you looking at? Do you want to get married in the city or countryside?

Hi Vallerate,Congratulations on your engagement and welcome to the community. I can say based on my experience with booking a vendor for reception, there are additional charges. However, I would look around to see if they can help with you with remove some of charges based on your preference. Is there a vendor and also things you want included with reception hall? What are things you do not want to have included?

Our venue included everything in the price. Our cocktail hour starts at 4pm with dinner served at 7pm. Reception is over at 2am

Unfortunately with weddings there are just additional fees- venues know couples will pay extra for a space they want, and weddings often require extra clean up and attention.

Depending on where you are you might have luck with negotiating for an off-season location! Or even a payment plan.
