Corabelle, on June 11, 2019 at 00:50 Posted in Plan a wedding 0 5
Is it a good idea to do online save the dates and pay good money for paper invitations?

    Hi there Corabelle Smiley smile

This is completely up to you and your FS!

If you would rather to an electronic std, and put the savings into creating your invites, go for it Smiley smile

As Tori mentioned, if you do have older guests or guests who are not tech savvy, you could reach out to them or send them a save the date if you're worried they won't receive an e-std. This is the only real possible issue which could occur with an e-std.

How many guests are you planning on inviting to the wedding?

I did magnet save the dates - just a little something different and people can put it on the fridge as a reminder.

I think with tech stuff, like tori mentioned, lots of older and non tech people will get really frustrated with the save the dates/invites that are online. My mom made a comment over the weekend she was sent an evite and couldn’t figure it out at all. So just keep that in mind as well.

I have seen half and half of the invites. Recently this year in February, my cousin sent out the paper Save the Date and the actual invite by email. It has depended on the couple and how they chose to go abouts the invitation personally.

I as the one to create our invite and paper (not computer savvy as much) chose this was the way for us. Save the Date was skipped as Indian tradition doesn't follow that way of giving a heads up to guests.

That's what I've seen the most of - but if you want paper for both or online for both then I say do it Smiley smile It's your wedding, the only thing to be aware of is that the older/ not as tech savvy people may not be able to figure out the Save The Date. With that being said, as long as they aren't from out of town in regards to where the wedding will be held - they don't really NEED a Save The Date.
