Online or IRL? - Ring shopping

I did a lot of research online, but I ended up going into the store to buy my wedding band and my FH's.

Most likely will be online. We have found a very good, reliable online retailer.

SO far we have done a bit of both, His will be bought online, mine probably in store.

My e-ring was online!

IRL- FH went to store with my mom and his and got my ring. So sweet.

IRL as to be on the same page of likes.

IRL. Sometimes like the look of something but it changes once you put it on.

A bit of both. I went to one jewellery store in person and saw what was out there, but I had a Pinterest board going with inspiration.

In person. We went to a couple stores... and my fiance eventually went shopping on his own. I will probably be ordering his ring online though... he likes very unique bands, and they are much easier to find online.

I had nothing to do with choosing my engagement ring but wedding bands will be in person

My fiancé actually ordered my engagement ring and wedding band online as a set. He couldn’t find anything in stores that he really thought I would love and he nailed it with the one he ordered.

Ours were in person. Our friend works at a jewellery shop so we go look when she's working

I gave my FH a few website to shop from (Blue nile, James Allen, Brilliant Earth) and he picked one from James Allen!

That being said, he told me that one Saturday morning, he went to a private/custom jeweler to get an 'education' on what he'd be able to get within his budget.

Initially browsed online to get ideas, but ultimately it was done IRL. My ring was custom made and my FH's ring was his fathers that we got refurbished.

We went in person a couple times. I didn’t bother looking online very much because I wasn’t sure what style of ring I wanted or what would suit me

I did not know what I wanted, I was pretty open, once at the shops, I discovered I loved the vintage feel. My FH actually found the ring for me and I LOVE IT! Can’t wait to wear it in less than 2 weeks

My engagement was neither, it was his grandmothers.
For our wedding bands we have looked for ideas of what we like online then for actually buying them we will probably go to a jeweler.

He went to a locally owned jeweler in Halifax and worked on a design with them.

I got mine custom made

So basically neither... and at the same time both. We just pulled from what we have seen in person as well as online to make up what we want for our wedding bands and my engagement ring.
