One or more DIY projects?

Are you and your fiancé(e) crafty? Do you plan on creating some of your own wedding decor, attire, etc.

Are you tackling one or more DIY projects?

More than one, I was hoping for zero since I'm not the most creative but my cousin/bridesmaid has taken some tasks upon herself and she is really looking forward to DIY'ing

We had one and a half lol. Our wedding favours were DIY (and were so amazing), and our card box got a minor DIY addition to it.

Me and my side are crafty. We want to keep costs down and have less of a hassle if something goes awry. Centrepieces I am doing 3 panes/picture frames with decoupaged photos and candle. And even our invites I am doing my self as there is a lot of great resources to use. Have a printer. As well I am thinking the party favours home made as well. We are simple but sometimes the homespun things become the most sought out. And with winter coming it’s our wine and bond time.

We’re planning on doing as much as we can to save! We have just under 2 years till the big day, so there should be enough time for everything. My only worry is that we’re currently in an apartment, and have minimal storage space for if we start making things like centrepieces and bouquets sooner rather than later

The centerpieces started as DIY but then the florist had a really great vision of them so I handed them over 😋 Probably won't be much DIY, maybe just making some pillar candles and rolling them in a soft-coloured sparkle

I’m planning to DIY as much as I can as long as it stays cost effective 🤷🏻‍♀️ I’m also hoping to make the cake to save some money there. I’m a good baker but poor decorator. Wedding isn’t until September 2021 though so I have some time to work on that! And if I don’t improve anytime soon I have time for a backup plan lol

One or more DIY projects? 2One or more DIY projects? 3One or more DIY projects? 4One or more DIY projects? 5 So far all out diy projects. The ring bearer pillow cost 2.00. The coasters in progress are so far free as we went and chopped some dead trees from FSIL place. Centrepieces are probably about 10 - 15 dollars each

I love crafts! Plus I work for my family's printing business so I've got so many resources at my disposal that I would be crazy not to take slight advantage. I've made about 5 different things so far, then once the seating arrangement is figured out I'll print the chart, and a couple welcome signs.

We only had 2 if I remember correctly. We did our guest book, and then our seating chart. Everything else I bought from someone, or the venue supplied

We're going to DIY a bunch for our wedding, and decorate ourselves the night before after the rehearsal.

We tackled a couple, we DIY'd the table centre pieces, my Baba did the bouquets, my MOH/sister and one of my BM's helped with the signage, and my Baba also made the "cake".

I'm putting together my centerpieces. Possibly I'll try to do the flowers as well. Depends on the price of silk flowers and if it actually saves me anything with a DIY. Thought about doing some paper flowers and making a backdrop but I'm not sure.

I think, in total, we had 3 DIY projects:

    - Signage (spray painted the ikea frames + printed tables numbers, the place cards)

    - Spray painted the vases

    - Seating chart (printed each table card to put in a wire frame)

More than one. Backdrop, easles, plinko board, tule hula hoops with lights, adding lights to evergreen greenery.

We are planning so many projects. We have over 2 years to do everything, so I’m not worried. The two of us & a few of our wedding party are cosplayers & are really heavy crafters. We planning on diy most of our table decor, all floral arrangements, I making all the signage, my mom is doing the cake, I’m my own hair & makeup and making my belt, hair piece & veil.

My mom is DIYing our centrepieces (they’re super easy), and we’re going to DIY our guest “book”. I got some pieces of live edge wood from my aunt and uncle, and plan on cleaning one up and putting our names and wedding date on for people to sign, that way we can hang it on the wall after the wedding!

More DIYs - we plan to do our centrepieces, we made our own STD and invitations. We also made our own bridesmaid and groomsman proposals. Everything else is being left to the pros.

    More! (Pictures included!)

My FH will be the first to admit he is not an artsy person, but I definitely am! It's going to be a bit DIY heavy including:

    1. Embroidered Table Runners (14 Total - 2 for head table, 12 for guest tables...Possibly up to 2-3 more if I have time for the other tables - gift, cake/dessert, etc)

One or more DIY projects? 10

    2. Did all the graphic design on my invitation packet from scratch (invite, RSVP, map card, details/info card, envelopes) Thank goodness for Vistaprint printing and their sales! :-)

    Envelope

    3. Kid Entertainment Kits! More assembling than creating, but still a DIY project. Something like below.

One or more DIY projects? 12

    4. Centerpieces. Something like this, but in a square vase instead for the centerpieces

One or more DIY projects? 13

    5. Making all the graphic design for the table signs, escort cards, and any other signage! (no pictures yet, sorry)

    6. Making our Card box! This is hopefully what mine will look like when it's done :-)

One or more DIY projects? 14

    7. My Bridal Party Proposal/Thank you Gifts! Each one had a crafty/DIY item in it (Sewn chef hat/apron, wood burnt personalized cooking spoons, etc)
