Omitting a reading

We got a reading done dedicated to my husband's passed away parents. It was nice and related to my parents too.

Not all readings are for every couple based on whats being offered or relating to you both.

We’re not doing any readings and our officiant was very clear with us that the only part of the ceremony that is mandatory is asking each of us if we are willing and want to make the commitment and get married. So do what feels right for you two, don’t let expectations get in the way.

I believe 2 are mandatory in our church! Haven't read up on any yet though! I think it just depends on the officiant and where you're getting married!

We're not doing any readings. It's not an essential part of the ceremony, just an added touch in my opinion! I've been to weddings with and without readings. I enjoyed them but didn't miss them at the weddings that didn't have them.

I haven't done any research on readings yet but we will probably be skipping them.

1) I'm not even bothered 2) I opted for a cheaper package that isn't a customizable one.
I googled different options to see if I should upgrade but I don't see the point of a reading unless it's completely horrendous that we don't do one
