    Ours was $250 but we also paid mileage since he lived 5 hours away so in total it was $400.

    I budgeted $500 for ours. From what I can tell, it’s on the high end for the area but i’d rather over estimate than under estimate!

    Over here in MB the average cost is $250 but if they are really good and sought after then they are around $450-$600

    I have contacted 3 Officiants in my area and their prices were all the same $350.00.

    In southwestern Ontario (london to windsor) pricing is 350-500
    We are paying 425 taxes in. For the most sought after officiants in our area (hubby and wife team)

    Check into provincial officiants for civil ceremonies. I don't know if they have it in Ontario, but I would think they would... I'm paying $75, plus travel for mine. Which will come to about $120.

    From what I've gathered from my research into officiants, the average cost seems to be around $500.
