Never thought I'd be "happy" to say this, but we have officially postponed our wedding to 2021. Our original date was Aug 29, 2020 - we are now Aug 28, 2021. I feel so much relief, as I was stressing so much thinking about how much there was left to be done, and we started having family rescind their RSVPs. It was making less sense to continue with our plans for this year, there are still too many risks and unknowns that would have inevitably had a huge negative impact on our celebrations (travel bans, gathering size limitations, business closures, etc. - we haven't even taken our engagement photos yet!).
This has been made seamless and easy thanks to our venue and vendor flexibility. Our venue is honoring our deposit and simply changed our booking, and same with all of our other vendors. I could not have asked for a better outcome in such a scenario. I hope other brides and grooms are able to make a decision with which they are comfortable!
