Hi Community 👋🏼

My fiancé and I are considering going ahead with our October wedding.
Our ceremony is being held in a church, with our original guest list of 60 people (church holds 100 with covid restrictions) so lots of room for physical distancing.
We will hold a reception of some sort next summer.
Does anyone have any ideas to make the day a-little more of an experience for guests, some would be driving 5+ hours for an hour ceremony, and we feel like it may be one and done.
We’re just trying to weigh our options right now, we do have a backup date for next May.

Another option would be to have a reception line outside the church so you can have a quick discussion with everyone.

Just to add to Vinod's comment - you may not be able to get photo permits to take pictures in a park during the pandemic and even if you do, they're usually for a max of 20 people or so. I recommend using private property, like the front of your church or any green space it's on.

The ceremony church can take place and then arrange for a picture session in a park or somewhere for them to be part of the memory around the area. Its worthwhile moment for them to stay after for the drive they are making.

Congratulations on your upcoming nuptials. If October is stable, maybe you can take the out of towners for lunch? You can add a photo taking session to make them a bigger part of the day.
