NYE wedding! 1I work at a venue this is a pic from the NYE wedding we had this year. They did have a lot of 1920s themed decor throughout the building and all the signs were like an art decor style. We ordered extra mini bottles of champagne for midnight toast and the couple brought a big countdown clock we mounted on our giant chalkboard.

Its different and a celebration to make for your day. I can see shiny though not too much bling. You two feel this is for you and have family and friends celebrating new years as well as being newlyweds will be fun for sure.

One thing though, pricing for the venues may be higher than usual for the day than the usual.

We debated a New Year's wedding!
Such a great opportunity for glitz. Gold and silver and sparkles are always an option, but for New year's you can get away with a lot more sparkle.
Would you have the ceremony closer to midnight? Or sneak off for midnight photos (especially if there are fireworks near your venue).I haven't been to one but I've seen photos from one done on the waterfront. They had acess to a rooftop patio for the citys fireworks display, and did a champagne toast countdown.

This is awesome!! you can do like a champagne theme or have a blingy or sparklie theme and do the ceremony and reception at the same location to make it easier for people traveling in the snow/driving
