November 2021 wedding - Toronto

Jodi, on December 26, 2020 at 20:53 Posted in Plan a wedding 0 3
Hello - hope everyone is staying safe and well! Due to personal circumstances we are looking to change/cancel plans for our November 5th date. I am not sure how this works with the venue yet however if someone is interested in discussing please let me know.
Thanks so much!

Some couples have decided to do the same as for cancelling or selling their dates on here too. Its hard to know if your deposit will be returned if you take the loss. Consider holding back on the Reception for a later date if you wish to carry on with your wedding as planned.

The venue should be able to help out and get your money back if another couple decides to take your date and contact you about it. I hope things work out for the best.

It's definitely a conversation you need to have with the venue. They may be open to rescheduling the date for you. If you're cancelling, be prepared to lose your deposit. Not sure the details of your contract so can't comment on how much you're on the hook for the whole deal.

I’d reach out to your venue. Some venues are allowing you to transfer your date to a new couple (so pretty much the new couple takes over your contract)
