It's wonderful you found your wedding location. Your right about budget. A cousin got married in Cancun 6 months prior to our wedding with their parents help.

Jamaica is very nice pace to be for the sunshine and its natural heat. Ypur guests will enjoy every moment of the resort as my brother and SIL had both families celebrating their engagement party on a private island teansported by a dragon boat.

Good luck on your day and enjoy the sunshine.

Hi Shauna, The cost for each of our guests to travel to the Iberostar Rose Hall Beach was $1616 CDN per person for a standard garden view room. We did use a travel agency. I work in the travel industry and thought about doing it all myself and having my guests book on their own but I'm super glad I didn't go that route. My agent as been so helpful in planning with me and getting questions answered and getting people booked on time etc. We are having 40 people including us and our son. So for the ceremony (on the beach), semi private dinner (at the steakhouse) and reception (on the beach), DJ for 2 hours, Open bar and rental of the soundsystem for our ceremony we are paying approx $2600 USD (approx $3100 CDN). I would think in total for every single detail of the wedding we are spending approx $12,000 CDN. We chose Jamaica because I have always wanted to have a destination wedding and Jamaica is my favorite Caribbean island, I have been there twice and just fell in love with the country, people and the food. If you have never been I would highly recommend visiting, its so fantastic!!

You can plan a wedding like this with any budget! We wanted to keep things super simple, so I'm not doing any centerpieces or decorations, no real flowers (I found them to be way too expensive) made my own bouquet and order giant crepe paper flowers for my bridesmaids. I just thought that Jamaica was enough decoration and ambiance and nothing else really mattered.

If you have any other questions do not hesitate to ask!

Hi Jennifer! I've been looking at a destination wedding in Jamaica, but I'm having a hard time nailing down the actual costs for a budget. What was your budget and the cost for each of your guests?Did you use a travel agency? How many guests are attending and how much was the ceremony? Why did you choose Jamaica?Anything you can share will help me immensely! Thanks!!!
