I'm exactly in the same situation, not a huge dancer but worried that my guests won't have fun. We will be having lawn games like croquet, bocce and giant jenga. Love the scavenger hunt idea Karen suggested, for sure stealing that one!

Yes, yes, yes, always the shoe game! I love it Smiley laugh So much fun.

Maybe have a photo booth! Always fun, and gets guests involved.

Have you considered hiring entertainment? Our DJ company here offers a hypnotism show with their packages, and it takes up a good 30 minutes+ of the reception.

Lawn games are definitely a great idea. And you could even DIY some for personalized touches!

I think lawn games are always a big hit! They're easy to play while socializing and drinking at the same time! Smiley shame

Giant Jenga or multiple sets of Jenga (but you write a question on each block) helps guests get to know one another. Make a homemade wordsearch.

The shoe game is for sure fun to do. There's also a scavenger hunt where u let your guest use their camera and take pictures of what's on your list (ex. Laughter, bride groom kiss, silly face, groomsmen/bridesmaid speech etc). If your reception is outside you can make or find oversize games like jenga, tic tac toe, ring toss, etc.

I had been a video on facebook of a bride and groom in chairs back-to-back and they each had one of each others shoes. Someone would ask a question and they would answer who it likely applies to by holding up either the brides shoe or the grooms shoe. It looks like a fun game to do.

My friend is having a campfire with smores for the non-dancers. Of course that would only work if your venue has a firepit. Other friends have had cards and board games. Another friend had outdoor games like bocci ball to play on the lawn.
