No first dance

Hey all. So here’s what’s happening. My fiancé and I aren’t doing a first dance and we will not be told otherwise. Firstly, my father passed away recently and usually first dances tie into the whole father daughter dance and I just don’t need that kind of emotion on my wedding day. Secondly, we find it really awkward being in the spotlight so we just don’t want to! People have been giving us a really hard time about it (not our families, it’s only been friends surprisingly!). I just want to make sure people have fun at the wedding and enjoy themselves. So I was thinking of going with an alternative fun thing, like having the groomsmen do a funny dance? Any ideas out there? Thanks
