No Bridal Party

Victoria, on November 6, 2023 at 15:40 Posted in Plan a wedding 1 2

My fiance & I have chosen to not have an official bridal party. We attended a wedding last year who did the same & we fell in love with the idea! We have many close friends, and want to keep our day simple & a little more non traditional. That being said, I love the idea of asking four of my girlfriends to be "unofficial bridesmaids" aka party planners etc.

I was looking for some suggestions on how to ask them?

I've been part of many "parties" without being designated an official groomsman. It's no big deal.

That being said, you do need two witnesses to make your marriage legal so unless you're using parents, typically those two people would be your "bridal party."

Congrats!! We also decided against a big bridal party. I had asked my bestie to dress shop with me and at that time I mentioned no bridal party. I told her and anyone that asked that we didnt want anyone to feel like they were working at the wedding. Just come and enjoy. She didnt take any offence to it. She offered to help out in anyway. So her and her daughter became my unofficial bridesmaids and I thanked them in my speech 😊
