New wedding planner after postponing date?!

Mackenzie, on May 13, 2020 at 15:08 Posted in Plan a wedding 0 9

Hi ladies!

We recently just postponed our wedding and I have a wedding planner from The Knot. Has anyone who has postponed and used a wedding planner book and got a new one since you changed the date? I'm on the fence to do so!

You have paid for the services of the planner and should keep them by them working with you. Just as any vendor, you want them part of your team and understanding with everything happening. The price you pay for another planner may be higher than the one you have keeping in mind.

I'm just using the same one I have. My wedding was originally August 8 but has been postponed until August 7 2021. I'm lucky enough that all my vendors and venue have switched to the new date so I've just marked down the new dates of when things need to be done and when things need to be paid etc.

You could definitely use white out to change dates or details. Then again if seeing the old dates or details at all makes you want a fresh start then splurge on a new planner!

I haven't used a book, I've got a spreadsheet I built and I've gone in and changed a few deadlines and deposit due dates based on the changes with our plans. I was probably around half way through planning, but a lot of my big stuff was done so I didn't want to start over.

I tried using one (ended up being a waste because I barely used it), and although things changed in the short time I used it - I just used white out where I needed to change things on mine.
