Never have I ever... given cash as a wedding gift

In my culture it’s expected to give cash as a wedding gift

I've given both but I find wedding gifts personalized to the couple from me would be more meaningful, unless of course, 4 other couples did the exact same thing, with the same gift.

I think we are going to request donations only, and have a donations to a cause rather than us as an alternative. I feel weird requesting money or gifts; but as a guest, I feel strange giving something I'm not sure about rather than a donation. Cash can be used for so many things.

I only gave cash cause I know every couples could use it to help paying off the wedding or they could use it to buy something the want.

The past 2 weddings I’ve been to have been monetary gifts only. I feel like this day and age, most couples have already lived together for a while and don’t really need more “stuff”.
Personally, we will be asking for monetary gifts as this is the case. We live in a small condo and have been living together for 3 years now. We don’t need any more stuff in here 🙂

I give a physical gift at the bridal shower at the wedding I give presentation to cover the meal and drinks for the evening.

I have only ever given cash as a gift at a wedding. All of the bridal showers I have been to have had registries that I have bought gifts off of, and then cash for the actual wedding.

Money. Bridal showers tend to be for gifts, and everyone appreciates receiving money at the wedding.

More or less a gift. It was for my sister and it was easier to buy for them. I was asked to go to my FH brother's wedding,but we had literally just started to date and I didn't know them at all.

Never but I have only been to 2 weddings since I have bee old enough to bring a gift. Before that they would have been from our family

I always give cash. Easier for me, better for the couple. Plus most weddings I've been to haven't had registries.

Wedding shower = gift or gift card, wedding = cash/ presentation.

I try to give physical gifts that mean something between me and the couple (a fancy tea set, Jamaican coffee, and a fancy hammock, a crepe maker).

I've also given cash at weddings...it just depends on the friendship.

Always cash. That way the couple can do whatever they want with it, even buy the registry items they didn't get

I've given more cash at weddings more times than I've actually been to weddings. (We still gave when we declined RSVPs). The only time I "bought" gifts was when I was younger and my parents bought something off the registry from The Hauser Family.

If the couple doesn't have a registry, or has one but the items are WAY over what I can spend, I'd prefer to give them cash.

It depends on the couple. If they'd prefer something off their registry over money, then I'll go for that given it's not extravagent.
