I have not, I have not given a lot of public speeches. I do volunteer as a Girl Guide and Pathfinder leader though which is helped with any fears I may have.

I have twice, once as a group with the other bridesmaids, and once on my own as MOH....I am NOT a fan of standing up in front of people so it was a bit never wracking!
also terrified of giving the speech with my FH at our wedding!

MoH speech at my best friends wedding. The best man and I combined our speeches a bit because the bride and groom had started dating after we asked each of them to tag along on our first date (the best man and I did not stay together but are each happily with the people we were meant to be with) because we were too shy! And the rest is history for them. So that was a fun speech to give. Have done a few speeches at family events solo before and I am always so nervous!

I've never given a speech at a wedding! But I have given speeches at family gatherings. I had to translate everything at our last family reunion, as half the people present spoke only Ukrainian or German.

My first (and favourite) wedding toast/speech was for my best friend as a co-MOH.
The speech was legendary, as it was based on call and response with the catch phrase "Good Job, Todd" (the groom), and included an "award", which they display on their mantle.
To this day (4 years later!), they still have family singing choruses of "Good Job Todd" whenever he does something thoughtful, accomplishes a task.
(I've had to make another speech/toast as a co-MOH, but that was much tougher to do bc we had a bit of a soured past with the groom. )
