Need help planning

Jessica, on March 22, 2019 at 19:16 Posted in Plan a wedding 0 9
I’m getting married September 21 2019 when should I be sending out my invitations? Can anyone help me on deadlines? - my parents are helping pay for rentals (chairs, tables, etc) and the caterer and others. I want to make sure I don’t miss doing or getting items

Use the wedding wire checklist but if you also want to get detailed you can make a list in Excel with dates, I found this super helpful for tracking the schedule for the day of the wedding too. Then print and distribute to your groom, MC, bridal party, photographer etc.

I am getting married a week before you! I will be sending my invitations out the last week of May with a deadline of August 1st for RSVP's as I know will have to contact people, this also gives time for my catering company.

Do you have the vendors you listed booked already? If not I would book asap! If you need any help with what you should have booked or anything along lines, give me a message! we will practically have same deadline as only week apart Smiley smile

Well my wedding is October 5th and we will be sending the invitations - at least the first batch (because there may be some no's RSVP'd and we will send out more) will be at the end of April, basically May (5 months) and request that they reply by June (4 months) and send the others out at that point, and request last rsvp's by August (2 months).

I find it's easier to work backwards from your date. So you need to know when your final head count is due, usually 2 weeks before your date, so that would be the week of Sept 2 - 6. You should give your guests 6-8 weeks to RSVP so that's july 8-12. You have to factor in the time it takes for the mail like 2 weeks so i think the end of june is good.

I agree, send them out end of May/beginning of June and have RSVP deadline August 1.

I have a cousin getting married 2 days before you and probably expecting a invite around July and the RSVP to be early August.

If that is something that can work for you and getting your counts in order. Hope this helps.

I second this! The wedding wire checklist is super helpful! If you have them out by the end of May at the latest you should be good!
Check with your venue when they needs final numbers as well. And give yourself at least 2 weeks before that in case you have to chase people

Hey beautiful, for you I would say send them out May 1st/15th and ask for RSVP by august 1st - I would allow a month between rsvp and the date in case you have to track people down. the weddingwire timeline is really helpful for deadlines and when to have stuff done by. hope that helps a little!!
