Need help finding ties that match bridesmaid dresses

Thanks everyone. I’ve spoke to someone at Moore’s who assured me they do offer steel blue in both ties and vests (rental and purchase options) and to contact my local store for their availability.

Seamstresses can make ties from spare dress fabric. It sounds silly, but maybe ask a seamstress what size dress would yeild enough fabric for ties and a vest and buy a spare one. This way you get the exact match you want. Or if your girls need their dresses hemmed there may be enough fabric trimmed from each to make the ties, unless someone is very short I doubt there would be enough for a vest too though.

Moores website is not the greatest. Go into the store and ask. It helps if you tell them the brand your bridesmaid dresses are in so they can match the code.

An alternative is, use the excess material from your bridesmaid dresses being cut during alterations to make the ties.

Hmm... I wonder if you could call them to discuss. I have a pamphlet/colour guide (I believe this is from last year though, so maybe it's not current anymore) and it shows the colour you are looking for I believe! I would think they would have this colour available, but if not, you may have to find somewhere that can make them custom for you best of luck!!

Our bridesmaids got their dresses from David's Bridal, so we ordered sample swatches of their colours for the groomsmen to take in to Moores for their matching bow ties. I agree with the other comment above that going to Moores would likely be your best bet since Moores and David's Bridal are affiliated. Fingers crossed you find something that works!

How set are you on matching the colours exactly? If you're adamant about it, you'll likely have to go to Moores since they're affiliated with David's Bridal Canada and will likely be the only store that can offer a matching swatch. Though I don't know if they carry the prom/wedding colours for purchases as a lot of their wedding collection is for rental only.

If you're okay with having the colours be coordinated but not 100% match, I suggest using Aristiocrats Bows n Ties. It's an online shop with a huge selection and they're located in Markham so shipping won't be any issues for anyone in Ontario.
