Need Help............

Lisa, on May 9, 2020 at 10:42 Posted in Plan a wedding 0 5

So because of Covid-19 we have decided to postpone our wedding. We where getting married on Sept 12,2020, this marked 15 years to the day we met. But due to everything going on in the wild world that we are living in, and the guest that where coming from all over the world we decided to make sure that everyone was safe and willing to travel again.

Matt and I are going to change the date to June 19,2021. Though that day doesn't have any meaning to it we want to get married. I have already bought everything to go with a fall wedding and now we are having a Spring/summer wedding. Does anyone have any idea's of how I can incorporate the colours ( white/gold & claret red) into this time of year?

I am DYI everything for the wedding to try and cut cost, I was going to make up little take home gifts they where going to be little bottles of hot chocolate and mini marshmallows ( which I have bought now have 12 cans of Hot Chocolate and 5 bags of marshmallows and 150 jars) I am just lost right now trying to figure out what to do.

I was very depressed when we postponed the wedding because we have waited soooooooo long for this to happen. Any help that you can give would be great!!!!!!

To all the brides going through this I feel you, keep your head up and we will all get through this and marry the love of our lives.

Your colours selection sounds great for the season of Spring/Summer since they work for the vibrancy. However, the hot chocolate and marshmallows would be something I would eat now since it will expire next year. Share them with the family. Getting them next year to put them as your favours would be the time as they would be fresh. Storing the bottles though with a label to know where its kept so you don't lose sight when needed for next year.

I did the same as buying the favours a year in advance and found some unfounded build up on the box which got to some of the inside packaging to be thrown out.

I might be weird, but I drink hot chocolate all year long, and I would still be excited to get that as afavor in the summer. If you don't want to use it a local food bank would love to have it!

If you add touches of sage or blush I think you could make the claret seem a little more summertime, gold and white are always in so no worries there!

I definitely think those colours will still work! We are getting married June 2021 also and our colours are blue grey, gold, and white. I think red would be a gorgeous accent colour - it still works for a summer wedding and no one will no any different.

For the hot chocolate - is there a way you could use it as a favour for a bridal shower that would happen in early spring? Still hot chocolate weather!
