My dog ate my homewo...glasses

Ashleigh, on March 14, 2018 at 13:38 Posted in Wedding fashion 0 9
My dog destroyed the glasses I had my heart set on wearing for our wedding. They are no longer available anywhere. I ordered a new pair, but since I have a small face, they ended up being too big. Can anyone recommended stores in the GTA or online (I've already scoured a bunch of websites including Zenni, Eyebuydirect, Clearlycontacts). TIA 👌

Attached a photo of my new glasses on the model. This is the style I have in mind.

No I didn't even think to try this! I got them online 3 years ago. Now that I've been glasses shopping, I am open to trying something a bit more modern/trendy. The hunt continues! Thanks for the reply.

Check out boonlook. They got a pretty similar style plus it's cheap but good quality. Their a Canadian company based in Vancouver.

I was going to suggest smartbuyglasses.ca. They have an awesome selection and are much cheaper than purchasing from in a store.

Along the same lines, if you can still see the brand/style # of your eaten glasses I would google it to see if you can find an old pair someone is selling (ebay, stock store etc.). If you can find an old pair I'm sure you can find an optician to change out the lenses from your old to the new frames or install new lenses if your are damaged.

I also have a really small face and the best guide I've found is looking at the three measurement numbers which represent lens diameter - bridge width - temple length. Your lens diameter is how wide the glasses are going to be: my current glasses are a 48 (I think anything under 50 is considered narrow) - 16 (also narrow) and 140 which is standard. When looking online I also make sure to look for pictures of models wearing the glasses to compare their face shape and find those two things help.

Other sites I've found (but haven't used):

    www.ilookglasses.ca

    www.smartbuyglasses.ca/

    www.felixandiris.com/womens-eyeglasses.html

    www.selectspecs.com/ca/

    Good Luck!

Have you tried contacting local opticians in case they have old stock laying around?
